Recent trends

There are few things that I have begun to notice over the last couple of months. Whether they are on-going trends or simply things that I have tuned into I'll leave you to judge.

Noticeable trends

  • Independent retailer shops closing and the premises remaining closed for extended periods
  • Independent petrol retailers closing (in fact there are so few that to find one is notable)
  • The rise and rise of the gold shop/pay day loan shop/ pawn broker
  • The recent increase in the number of cars up for sale by the side of the road (owner sales, with computer printed details)
  • The rise and rise and rise again of Tesco
  • More people buying seeds for vegetables
  • The increasingly blatant lies being spouted by the politicians in Parliament (Start with Libya)
  • Social Networks of all styles becoming the source for REAL news (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter etc.)

What about you?
