A Trillion pounds

A Trillion pounds that's the public debt of the UK now.

It's the equivalent of £16000 each for every man, woman and child in the UK. If you add in the back rescue money as well, that's another £16,000 per person.

So as well as our personal debts, now each of us is saddled with £32000 extra for the management of the country's debt.

The median wage in the UK is around £26,000 so our government debt dwarves an average worker's take home pay.

This can't continue, the interest on the debt will cripple us.

And people are surprised that consumer spending is lower?

Never mind the negative effects on mental health. It's going to be an interesting year of the Dragon (chinese New Year)

Lots of interest but....what will it take to make the change?

I've often said to a new client that the hardest part of their journey is already over by the time they come to see me.

Why?

Because they have already made enough of a commitment to make a change for the better in their life.

At this time of year I see lots of extra activity on my Hypnotherapy web site (www.somersethypnotherapy.com) but it can often be months from a person finding the site to taking action.

Do it now. Delay just means more of what you don't want. Start making that change now and feel so much better sooner. To quote a friend of mine (Brad Burton) "The further you run (away from the problem), the weaker you become.

Start that change now.

I tried Google+ today

Lots of people seem to be talking about it, it's had lots of press and it's supposed to be the next big thing.

So I tried Google+; and hated it.

It messed up all my access to other Google products, it was so non-intuitive that I had to resort to the help links several times and it looked like Facebook but with more whitespace.

I unregistered less than one hour later.

I filled in the Google commentary form about why I was leaving, it'll give them a small input on how they can improve what they do.

Google are so amazingly good at so many things, but social media stuff? I'll pass I think.

Find me on Twitter instead @johncburns.
