Not a hypnosis post
It seems that even if you can not read and write English you can now be eligible to sit on a jury.
Even more bizarrely, not being able to understand English (never mind the complexities of English spoken in a legal setting), will no longer be a bar to being a juror.
It's almost as if someone, some where, wants to so discredit the jury system that they are sabotaging it from within.

Reading Ayn Rand
I'm reading Ayn Rand's book 'Atlas Shrugged' at the moment and finding a lot in it which chimes with my thoughts on how things are becoming in the UK and Europe more generally at present.
I'll blog on this subject some more when I have finished the book (it may be a while though, it's a big book!).
Big themes; entitlement vs creating worth, state vs person, freedom vs control.

Recent trends
There are few things that I have begun to notice over the last couple of months. Whether they are on-going trends or simply things that I have tuned into I'll leave you to judge.
Noticeable trends
What about you?
Noticeable trends
- Independent retailer shops closing and the premises remaining closed for extended periods
- Independent petrol retailers closing (in fact there are so few that to find one is notable)
- The rise and rise of the gold shop/pay day loan shop/ pawn broker
- The recent increase in the number of cars up for sale by the side of the road (owner sales, with computer printed details)
- The rise and rise and rise again of Tesco
- More people buying seeds for vegetables
- The increasingly blatant lies being spouted by the politicians in Parliament (Start with Libya)
- Social Networks of all styles becoming the source for REAL news (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter etc.)
What about you?
